CV Franka Meštrović (Zagreb, Croatia)

Franka Meštrović was born in Zagreb in 1978, where she graduated from Music College ‘’Elly Bašić’’ and also graduated in piano at The Music Academy. During her musical education she has had a significant number of noticed public performances (in Croatia, Switzerland and USA) and she participated in many competitions and won first prizes (Pianist competition organized by Conservatory Sapora from Japan and music schools from Zagreb, international piano competition ‘’Dora Pejačević’’ in Zagreb, European competition of pianists in Torino, Croatian competition of music scholars in Varaždin).
Since 2003 she has worked as a piano professor at ‘’Elly Bašić’’ Music College and since 2005 as dramaturg at Drama programme of Croatian Radio where, with her dedicated work she participated in winning first prizes at international radio drama festivals (Prix Marulić and Prix Italy).
In 2008 she took over leadership of creative music workshops ‘’Piano Improvization’’ at ‘’Elly Bašić’’ Music College and she became a member of the presidency of Functional music pedagogy promotion association.
